About The Tour |

QBC College Tour is a traveling exhibition of Black Lesbian and gay themed films from Queer Black Cinema film series. Its mission is to promote, screen and discuss the work of independent Black LGBT1 filmmakers to a diverse group of educational institutions.
QBC College Tour screens weekly throughout the month of October in honor of LGBT History Month and now periodically throughout the year. The screenings will take place on a college campus open to students. Students will have an opportunity to view films and participate in a discussion and /or lecture with the producers of Queer Black Cinema®.
About Queer Black Cinema Film Series
Queer Black Cinema® is New York's first and only Black LGBT monthly micro-cinema. The film series was founded in 2006 by filmmaker and CEO of Our Stories Productions, Angel L. Brown. QBC's mission is to showcase independent narratives and documentary works by U.S. and international Black LGBTQ filmmakers. Since its debut, Angel has participated on several panels such as Frameline's PERSISTANT VISIONS, PunkMouse's Q-ME Conference and UC Santa Cruz Women of Color Film & Video Festival under the direction of Dr. Angela Y. Davis.
Queer Black Cinema® also provides opportunities for music artist to network and showcase their music at the film series. Music reviews and artist profiles along with their music are highlighted on QBC website and widely spread throughout the internet.
About QBC International Music & Film Festival
In 2008, QBC will once again make history by producing the only running Black LGBT New York State three days Film and Music Festival. QBC International Film & Music Festival will take place the end of January filled with Films, musical performances, workshops and panel discussions. QBC will bring you the BEST of people of color LGBT films.
